Guidelines For 2nd Year MBBS Students

First of all before starting your studies, it is better to read UHS syllabus carefully
because it will help a lot in final exams and in choosing books.There are many topics in the books which are not related to our study, in this way we can safe our time.And go for the recommended books.

Anatomy:

Every Students has his own choice related to books and some are totally confused about selection of books.Here is a list of books which mostly of us used in second year.Most lengthy course of this subject requires more time.

K.L.M

Recommended and Standard book and use frequently and is more than enough for gross anatomy for 2nd year.Help in solving  almost all the questions.

B.D Churasia: 

Not a recommended book but many students also study from it, especially Abdomen and Pelvis.

Grays Anatomy Student Edition:

Also recommended book and important for studying some topics of Head and Neck

K.L.M Embryology:

Almost Covers all the Topics

Histology by Laiq Hussain:

Good book but in  paper u have to draw diagram so focus on practical copy along with this book.

Neuroanatomy By Snell:

The one and only

Biochemistry:

Some students find it dull and boring subject but you have to pass it because it is a compulsory subject

Lipponcot:

The one and only,covers almost all the topics

Harper:

If you want to study more than this book is recommended(though only few students study from it) 

Satyanarayana :

Indian Author book. Helpful.

Physiology: 

Guyton and HALL's medical physiology:

The one and Only. Friendly Book.

Islamiyat & Pakistan Study:

Compulsory subject You also have to pass it but don't worry just read a day before paper from F.Sc books and Past Papers.
