Publishing of literary magazine of Nawaz Sharif Medical College

was my dream. I am thankful to ALLAH Almighty for letting me

accept and then consummate the challenge of “HAYAT-2013”.

After the struggle of two years our college magazine is at last in

your hands. It was my earnest desire that “HAYAT” as the name

depicts must include all the colors of life, so we have attempted

to adorn this issue with exemplum stories, hilarious comedies and

melodious poetry with pure cultural and literary essence and an

iridescently decorated and ravishing arts section. “HAYAT-2013”

also addresses the customary flavor to interest its readers and I am

sure this shall be a complete package to palliate everyone’s taste.

Now coming towards our journey from “Yeh Magazine Nahi Ban

Sakta” to “Kamal ho gaya, kya waqae magazine aa raha hai? “ we

went through phases of requesting, asking, motivating, pursuing,

reminding, begging, arguing, frustration, depression and what

not..!!!But at last we succeeded in bringing out the first issue of

“HAYAT”.

Students here usually remonstrate that there are no extracurricular

activities at NSMC but I have experienced that most of

them just know to grouse. When any activity is started they do

not participate and if do so, that’s only for their own recognition

because there is lack of spirit to support and give credit to

teamwork because those students are biased and their will is

to pay gratitude to their respective groups. On the other hand

some students take initiative but disheartening and discouraging

attitude of students and conformist approach of some teachers

about extra-curricular activities, constrain them to leave their

task. If you want to set traditions in NSMC then only way to do this

all is that each and every one of you must support every positive

and constructive activity irrespective of your own interest, you

must think for the betterment and glory of your mother institute

because wherever you will go this institute shall be your identity

and to glorify your institution is your responsibility.

The issue of “Hayat” is the starting of a new tradition in NSMC. The

editorial board has worked with zeal and full spirit to make this

issue, the best ever. Now its responsibility of you juniors to work

for the continuation and poignancy of this tradition.

Again Thanks to ALLAH Almighty for his blessings upon us and

best wishes for you all.
