Envisioned as one of Pakistan’s foremost research led,

multidisciplinary universities, the University Of Gujrat has

been set up to build a landmark institution in higher education

in Pakistan. The University is dedicated to the discovery,

development, organization, preservation, dissemination and

application of knowledge in a wide range of fields with a goal

to expand the scale and scope of human understanding and

contribute to the betterment of the world. With the University,

we bring about a shift in higher education by creating

something new and more relevant to the global landscape.

With the vision of innovations in Medical sciences, Nawaz

Sharif Medical College started its academic functioning on

April 14,2009 with its first batch of 50 students.

Its most significant differentiator is the strong emphasis on

research and learning that will cut across all schools to break the

soils, to deepen and broaden the learning process. Envisaged

to become an enduring global center of learning and higher

education, NSMC will be anchored in research, innovation

and producing Skilled and competent doctors, supported by

an outstanding faculty and exceptional students. Students

of Nawaz Sharif Medical College have set standards in their

academic as well as in extracurricular activities.

I am very much pleased to learn that NAWAZ Sharif Medical

College is bringing out the first issue of college magazine in

collaboration with UOG.I am sure that the College Magazine

will provide a platform to the students to sharpen their writing

talent and will strengthen the academic activities of the

College.

Commendable job has been done by the Editorial Board in

planning for and producing the magazine. My congratulations

to the team who took the responsibility for the arduous task

most effectively.

On this occasion, I seize the opportunity to bid a warm adieu

to the outgoing batch of NSMC on successful completion of

their graduation. I am confident wherever our students will be

placed, shall work with passion, perfection and dedication.
