3rd National Hands on
training workshop and symposium on Airway Management accomplished successfully.
It was joint venture of Nawaz Sharif Medical College, Aziz bhatti Shaheed teaching hospital, Higher Education Commission, University of health sciences Lahore and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. The purpose of this
event was to train the paramedics, staff nurses, Rescue 1122 workers, medical
students, house officers, medical officers and young consultant in managing
challenges related to airway in accident/emergency and surgical departments.
The Problem of securing an
airway is a primary task of basic ABC (airway, breathing and circulation) of
traumatized and unconscious patients. It is worth mentioning that only first
three minutes after trauma and unconsciousness are important to establish patient
airway and securing life.
The event was arranged by HOD Prof. Zafar Iqbal Gill & Department of OTORHINOLARYNGOLOGY, at Aziz
Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital Gujrat and managed by 4th year MBBS students of Nawaz
sharif Medical College, UOG. The event was presided by Principal, Nawaz Sharif
Medical College, Dr. Sajjad Hussain.

Workshop continued for two
days, 25th & 26th March. Inaugural ceremony held on 25th march. Each day comprised
of two sessions.
